Save the Earth Contest…

AND THE WINNER IS:

~Robin Kimball~

I teach my kid (and soon kiddos) to take care of the earth. My 4 year old knows all about recycling and littering (he is quick to remind other people but occasionally drops a wrapper of his own and needs reminding, haha). If these little guys want a clean ocean to swim in and fresh air to breath we need to teach them now so that it becomes second nature to take care of their home.

Thanks for playing and loving the Earth!!

This Month’s contest is Sponsored by:

I collect as much of the rain water that runs of the roof for all my irrigation needs and use anything that is biodegradable to add to my compost pile such as paper, cardboard, food scraps etc. Plus I try to only have a garbage pickup once a month and usually it’s only one can.

We try to find everything that can be recycled. Our goal is to have a 1/2 bag of trash each week. Sometimes I wish I could use paper sacks for garbage bags so it would be 1 tiny bit of less plastic in the dump. Also NO PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES. We use reusable containers each time!!

We planted a garden! All sorts of peppers, tomatoes, onions, basil, arugula, spinach, broccoli, parsley, and flowers! Food for people, bees and butterflies!
