I too, love to stay beachsid…. gas station, party store, cool places to eat and drink and oh yeah, the pristine view of the ocean, whether I am doing errands and banking in a car, or stroll 3 blocks from our house to just be in awe of the beach. I am always proud to live at the beach, where doing errands are a pleasure. However………. 1 mom, 1 daughter and 4 granddaughers later, I can go to just over the bridge and under it. And then of course once you have done that, Publix is just a shot away…… One really good thing about going over the bridge, is the awesome view and feeling you get when you come back and know you are coming home to our little beach town. I feel grateful every single time.

I can’t say I know what that would be like but I would sure love to find out. I love the ocean and spent a lot of time in the keys as a kid. Oh the times we had snorkeling, fishing, skiing, and just enjoying the surf. Somehow I ended up marrying the greatest guy in the world however his love is the mainland, woods, going for hikes, camping, and the great outdoors. My husband being the great guy he is knowing my love for the ocean got me the next best thing a little home on a lake. So my little lake house has the reminders of the ocean all around me shells, starfish. Glass dolphins etc. . It may not be the ocean view I always wanted but it sparkles the same with the love and hard work of a man I so adore. Thanks for the article it reminded me of what I really have to be so thankful for.

agree with you on this one, if i don’t have to i don’t. just had a friend visit and he stated, you actually live on an island, don’t you. my reply was, of course, and if i don’t get off it in a month, i’m happy
