International Coastal Cleanup ~ Washington Oaks State Park

Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is teaming up with International Marine Ecological Research Solutions and the Georgia Aquarium’s Dolphin Conservation Field Station to bring you International Coastal Cleanup Day. Participants will join thousands of others across the world to remove trash and debris from the world’s beaches and waterways on this day. Participants will be provided with motorboat transportation aboard the “Hurricane Queen” to access spoil islands along the Intracoastal Waterway including Jordan and Mellon Islands managed by Faver-Dykes State Park. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m in the picnic area at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. All necessary trash collection gear will be provided. Please bring a re-usable water bottle. The event is open to everyone age 12 and older.
Free admission for participants
