Washington Oaks State Garden Beautification Project

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is looking for volunteers interested in beautifying the formal gardens on Saturday November 20th from 9am to Noon.

Project participants will assist park staff and park volunteers in a clean up effort in the formal gardens of Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. The project will involve raking, pruning, trimming, cleaning, and weeding the beautiful historic gardens.

Upon completion of the clean-up project, participants are welcome to explore and enjoy Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. We offer many activities at the park for your enjoyment including hiking, biking, fishing, a playground, a beautiful beach, picnic areas, and a gift shop.

There is no charge for participants. Please bring gloves, hat, sunscreen, and comfortable working clothes. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Please meet at the potting shed.
