OMG there was a hanging at the Beanery…

Just kidding…kind of.

It seems I have traded my pen for the paintbrush these last few weeks and that is why I have been so quiet. I’m sure you have missed me. Never fear I have too much to say and really feel comfortable wearing many hats…or handkerchiefs for that matter. The cool part is that I painted a mural for my friends at the Beachouse Beanery and as of last night it now decorates their back porch. To be honest I have never considered myself a painter, but feel lucky to have had the opportunity to color the world, literally. Which is why I am also going to rename my Flagler’s Finest section— to Flagler’s Local Color.

There were two other artist’s celebrating with me as well, world renowned photographer AJ Neste, and sewing goddess Pamela Morrow. It was a good time at our little private party and I want to throw a big THANKS to Carol and Jeff for being such awesome hosts.

For my other news I have volunteered to begin helping out with First Friday’s and am quite excited about it. Hoping to have a facebook page up soon so everyone can know what’s going on and would be more than happy to have some crowd participation.

Until next time…cheers!

  1. Yay for Carla and her love of COLOR! She paints what I imagine in my head! Thank you thank you thank you! If you haven’t seen Carla’s work, come on over to the BeachHouse Beanery, and have a cup of coffee, glass of wine, or a cold brew on our porch and see for yourself! (202 S. Central, in case you haven’t been here before!)

Left before you arrived but had run into your Dad who told me to come see your latest work. Gorgeous!
You’ll be a great addition to the First Friday family! Don’t forget the Museum when making plans – we are always open late and love to particpate.

I don’t think of you as a “painter”, but as an “artist!”

I will think of you every time I step out onto the back porch and reminisce of the day you became famous.

By the way, thank you for thinking I am a “sewing goddess”, makes me feel so iconic.
