The latest In My Belly eating adventure happened at a relatively new eatery with some solid roots firmly planted here in Flagler Beach. Sweet Waters Smokehouse Bar & Grill is family with the extremely popular Tuscan Grille and the rumors about delicious food so far are true. Located under the bridge, they have a large open deck with a bar serving beautiful views along with all your favorite libations. There is indoor dining for the climate-ly challenged and they have added regular table service outside. This was the first visit we’ve made with the whole family and everyone left full and completely satisfied with their orders… Papa Bear chose to revisit the open-faced BBQ brisket served on a fresh baked Portuguese roll, which if you are a hungry man will delightfully fill all the crevices in your belly. The kiddos opted for cheeseburgers and I went for the special… filet beef tipped sliders with a side of au jus and horseradish sauce, not a crumb left to spare. They were also serving up their Sunday Happy Hour specials on well drinks, domestic drafts, Bloody Marys and Mimosas. The best part of our meal was being able to enjoy it in the warm sunshine.
It was pleasurable dining experience all around~
My favorite parts of course are that you can arrive by golf cart…
and boat (the only place in town you can do that:)
Or you can opt to burn a few calories by walking the Betty Steflick trail…always a good time!
So come spend the afternoon in town and grab a bite to eat…it will make you feel good.
