In honor of all the sweets being handed out to goblins, trolls and Elsa’s, I figured it would be a perfect time to feature the new local bakery, Beachside Bake Shop. A small spot of delicious located right in the middle of town at 300 S. Central Ave, Unit 105.
Relatively new on the block, my first bake shop visit was just a few weeks ago, as I was searching for a local dessert vendor for a Flagler County Education fundraiser. The owner, Penny Sedam, was lovely to work with and even better were the delicious treats she made for the event. So far I have tired about 5 or 6 different items and my favorite is a lemon curd tart with a macadamia nut crust! YUM!!!
While Penny does have house specialties readily available, she also likes to keep things fresh by adding new treats weekly. So if you are cruising around town and need something sweet to brighten your day, go visit Beachside Bake Shop and tell her Flagler Surf sent you…you won’t be sorry!
Hours are Tues- Fri 9-4pm, Sat 9-2pm
Connect with Beachside Bake Shop on Facebook to get their specials. Or check out their website at: http://www.beachsidebakeshop.com/home.html
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!!
And just for fun…I had no idea after all the years of loving and consuming candy corn that it could look like this- Duh! :))
